ODW History

ODW History

In late 1971, Bob Ness and John Berend leased eighty-nine thousand (89,000) square feet of warehouse space, speculating that a high quality, customer centered public warehouse operation would attract quality clients with central states distribution requirements.

Rapid growth followed as ODW Logistics (formerly Ohio Distribution Warehouse Corp) grew in space, capabilities, and customer relationships. In 1980, Dist-Trans Co. was founded to meet our customers' transportation requirements. ODW Contract Services was created in 1990 to develop sophisticated dedicated distribution facilities across the country.

Regularly listed as a Top 100 3PL, ODW Logistics is a multi-regional 3rd Party Logistics Provider with a primary focus in Columbus, Ohio and several distribution points located throughout the country in Chicago, Milwaukee and Los Angeles.
