Summary/Objective

The Assistant Controller position is responsible for supporting accounting functions and developing financial reporting for ODW LTS.  We are looking for motivated individuals who want to be a part of our growing company and that can play a vital role in our Accounting Department.

Financial Roles

  • Support all accounting functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable and cash management activities
  • Support the activities of the corporate accounting department for the accurate and timely dissemination of financial management reports including, but not limited to, internal and external monthly financial statements, audits, budgets and sales reports.
  • Assist with all month-end close processes
  • Prepare monthly account reconciliations and journal entries
  • Analyze current procedures; recommend changes for continuous improvement
  • Maintain accurate and complete financial records, participate in audits or reconciliations as needed
  • Help develop and implement accounting software and processes
  • Contribute to the accounting and organizational mission by completing related reports and analysis as needed
  • Promote and practice of company values (Trust, Team, Opportunity & Respect) within team and company

Education and Qualifications

  • High School Diploma (mandatory)
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field (mandatory)
  • 2-5 years’ experience in accounting related field (preferred)

Physical Demands

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand, sit, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel as well as reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  • This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers and filing cabinets.

Travel

  • Position is primarily at the Hamilton, OH office location. If business demands any travel, Management will review with the employee in advance.

Other Information

  • Full time position
  • 40 hour work week (Monday – Friday only)
  • Health, dental and supplementary insurance available on first day of the following month after date of hire.
  • 401K enrollment with company match. Available on the first day of the month after completing 90 calendar days of service.
