Business Analyst
Summary/Objective
The Business Analyst role is responsible for identifying solutions throughout the business to improve the overall experience for our users and customers. Through solution identification, design, and implementation this role has a significant impact on the entire company and specifically as a contributor to the development team. The business analyst will work directly with both sides of the business (technical and operational) to push the company and our systems forward and help deliver a quality service to our customers.
Strategic Roles
- Work to identify solutions to solve real business problems that improve the LTS product offerings and efficiency
- Develop and document business requirements for active and potential projects
- Develop project scopes for a wide variety of projects and problems
- Understand the systems architecture at a high-level and ensure solutions align with the applications and existing system design
- Represent IT department during to business during business requirements and scoping exercises
- Coordinate with IT management on strategic software infrastructure decisions
- Assist in setting new software objectives
- Participate in the development lifecycle of systems by contributing to the technical design and overall systems strategy to better align with current and future business needs
- Assist the business and IT in developing ROI calculations for projects and initiatives
- Produce user and system documentation for solutions and applications
- Lead testing efforts for solutions and verify/measure solution effectiveness
- Assist with timelines, budgeting and monitoring of projects
- Intermediary between clients, operations, and IT for new business process integrations and implementations
- Be creative and approach problems with a unique perspective
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Related Field or Equivalent Professional Experience (required)
- 3 + years’ experience in BA or similar role on a technical team
- Experience producing system and user documentation
- Experience with application testing
- Gather requirements, design, and implement applications

Physical Demands
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand, sit, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel as well as reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
- This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers and filing cabinets.
Travel
- Position is primarily at the Hamilton, OH office location. If business demands any travel, Management will review with the employee in advance.
Other Information
- Full time position
- 40 hour work week (Monday – Friday only)
- Health, dental and supplementary insurance available on first day of the month after date of hire.
- 401K enrollment with company match. Available on the first day of the month after completing 90 calendar days of service.
