Summary/Objective

The Contract Coordinator position entails working with the ODW LTS Operations Team Members and Product Managers to support contract rate building and basic pricing analysis duties.

Strategic Roles

  • Building contracts of all modes (LTL / FTL / Parcel/ Flatbed/ Expedited / Intermodal) in 3G TMS
  • Maintain carrier contracts
  • Updating renegotiated contracts
  • Adding / adjusting accessorial charges and fuel schedules as needed by the operation
  • Responsible for Rate Engine efficiency and performance
  • Evaluated based on accuracy of the built contract and meeting required deadlines
  • Required to work closely with Product Managers and Pricing Entities
  • Assumes the role of primary operations contact for troubleshooting all discrepancies within the rate engine
  • Works closely with Account Managers who send potential issues with the rate engine to identify and resolve any contract issues 
  • Develop an in depth understanding of contractual arrangements/ language
  • Assist with drafting contract appendices using supplied templates
  • Assist in the training of staff members on rate engine capabilities and job functions
  • Support AP Rec process as time allows once contract duties are satisfied
  • Promote and practice of company values (Trust, Team & Opportunities) within team and company

  • Ability to “Think Outside the Box” problem solve
  • Ability to acknowledge while there are many ways to solve a problem (build a contract),  there is a most efficient way to do so.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree (preferred)
  • 1 + Years’ Experience in Supply Chain Management or Analytical related field (preferred)

Physical Demands

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand, sit, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel as well as reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  • This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers and filing cabinets.

Travel

  • Position is primarily at the Hamilton, OH office location. If business demands any travel, Management will review with the employee in advance.

Other Information

  • Full time position
  • 40 hour work week (Monday – Friday only)
  • Health, dental and supplementary insurance available on first day of the following month after date of hire.
  • 401K enrollment with company match. Available on the first day of the month after completing 90 calendar days of service.
