ODW Logistics is opening a 200,000-square-foot logistics center near Columbus, Ohio, to expand its e-commerce capabilities. The facility on Interstate 71 in Grove City is within a 10-hour drive of about 50% of the U.S. population and one-third of the Canadian population, according to ODW.
The Tier 1 warehouse management system at the center features zone pick and pass with high- and low-velocity zones along with narrow-aisle dense racking and storage. The center’s technology features include bar code scanning, manifesting software, static and in-motion scales, dimensioning, label print, and apply and sortation capabilities. An A-Frame conveyor system can process up to 3,000 orders per hour.
Columbus-based ODW is a 3PL serving middle-market and growth-oriented firms. It provides warehousing, fleet operations and transportation management for sectors including food service, consumer electronics, and health and beauty products.
