Bob Ness and John Berend leased 89,000 sq. ft. of warehouse space in Columbus, Ohio, and founded Ohio Distribution Warehouse Corporation.
Dist-Trans Co., our midwest asset-based carrier was founded. Today the fleet operates over 300 trailers and has over 150 drivers and we primarily serve Ohio and the surrounding states.
300 employees and expanded operations to 3 distribution facilities in Columbus, OH totaling 1,000,000 sq. ft.
Ohio Distribution Warehouse Corporation was rebranded to ODW Logistics.
ODW Logistics acquires The Olson Company and expanded operations to California, Illinois and Wisconsin.
ODW Logistics and Transportation Services (LTS) is formed- providing comprehensive transportation management solutions for warehouse and non-warehouse clients across the U.S.
ODW Logistics expands operations to Dayton, Ohio and opens a multi-client e-commerce fulfillment center in Columbus, Ohio.
John R. Ness
John is responsible for setting the company vision and strategy, driving for results, and preserving company culture through ODW’s values of Trust-Team-Opportunity. A passionate entrepreneur, he has launched four businesses under ODW Logistics and has strategically organized a leadership team to scale and grow the company. ODW is owned by the Ness family and has adopted a best-in-class organizational structure, including an independent Board of Advisors, a Family Council, and professional management. John has B.S. Business Management from Wittenberg University.
As President of ODW Logistics, Ted leads the organization’s long-range business planning and strategic direction. With over 30 years of supply chain and financial experience, he is responsible for the overall management of ODW Logistics and its divisions, including implementing the company’s growth strategy, aligning divisions and client goals, information technology and strategic positioning. Ted has a B.S. Business Administration – Accounting from The Ohio State University.
Executive Vice President
Jeff Clark heads ODW Logistics’ client relations, sales and marketing, and employment staffing division (Staffing Leadership Group). His responsibilities include leading the company’s new business development strategy, supply chain engineering and design execution, existing client growth, and staffing solutions. Jeff graduated from Purdue University and has a Master’s Degree from The Ohio State University.
Chief Operating Officer
A commercial operations and supply chain executive with over 20 years of experience, Lee is responsible for driving the strategy and execution for ODW’s contract logistics division. He leads ODW’s North American warehouse and fulfillment operations, continuous improvement, innovation, and Dist-Trans (ODW Logistics’ regional asset-based fleet). Lee is a graduate of Stephen F. Austin State University with a degree in Business.
Chief Financial Officer
Albert is the CFO of ODW Logistics and leads the company’s corporate financial strategy, reporting, and program management. His responsibilities include enhancing ODW’s growth and value creation by evaluating internal operations, acquisitions, cash management strategy and the effective use of corporate assets. Albert is a graduate of Allegheny College and has an MBA in Finance from The Ohio State University.
Chief Information Officer
Michael Roberts is our Chief Information Officer. Michael is originally from the U.K., and has lived in the United States for over 20 years. He has over 17 years of experience with DHL Supply Chain, where he most recently held the position of Vice President, North American Applications and Global Integration Center of Excellence.
In addition to extensive application and integration experience, Michael’s early career was spent in IT project and practice management roles with BDM (now part of JDA), Oracle, and SubmitOrder.com. He earned his degree with joint BSC Honors in Artificial Intelligence with Computer Science from the University of Edinburgh, Scotland.
Michael is passionate about delivering information technology that improves business performance, reduces cost, and provides information where and when it is needed.
Vice President of Human Resources
Michelle has over twenty-five years of experience in the Human Resources field. In her role with ODW, Michelle provides leadership in the areas of strategy, workforce planning, talent acquisition, training, career development, organization design, performance management, compensation, and change management. Michelle is a graduate of Ohio University where she received her bachelor’s degree in business administration.
President, Transportation Management
John Guggenbiller is President and co-founder of ODW Logistics Transportation Services (ODW LTS). He heads a talented management team of logistics professionals. John oversees all transportation solutions, including freight management, brokerage, network design, and strategic transportation advising. John has over 33 years of supply chain leadership with American Standard prior to co-founding ODW’s transportation service division in 2009.
Vice President, Transportation Management
Dave Giblin is the Vice President of ODW Logistics Transportation Services (ODW LTS). He is responsible for ODW LTS product development, strategic direction, and operational execution. Dave leads several teams that design and delivers ODW’s freight management, optimization, and multi-client consolidation solutions. Dave has a B.S. in Marketing from Miami University in Oxford, OH and an MBA from Xavier University.
Vice President of Sales, Transportation Management
John Weber is the Vice President of Sales of ODW Logistics Transportation Services (ODW LTS). He is responsible for sales and meeting client needs with ODW’s portfolio of solutions. His duties include fostering key client relationships and delivering engineered transportation solutions that result in controlled costs and increased supply chain efficiencies. John has a B.S. Business Administration – Transportation and Logistics from The Ohio State University and an MBA from Ohio Dominican University.
